Global Environmental Services was established in 2008 with a passion and vision of turning our waste into reusable products. As the owners of John’s Refuse & Recycling, we have found that more than 80% of our waste is truly recoverable and recyclable, with 40% of that being compostable. We believe that all trash is just a mixed collection of potentially new material that hasn’t been recovered yet. Essentially, every material or item that is thrown out can be reused.

In 2008, we were the first in Connecticut to collect food waste with the sole purpose of composting. Since that time, we have incorporated the recovery and recycling of: Metal Waste, Yard/Wood Waste, Paper Waste, Electronic Waste, Plastic/Glass Waste and Construction/Demolition Waste.

Throughout the years, we have listened to the desires and wishes of many companies to become “green” and learn how to reduce, recycle and reuse. As a result, we have developed a 3 Step Turn-Key program to educate, assist and implement in your company.
